Beginning Digital Photography
Learning how to work your new digital camera properly can make all the difference in the world for you to have fun while making great images of your family, friends, and vacations.
Topics for this Digital Photography Workshop will include how the controls of shutter speed and aperture relate to creative choices, the proper use of available light, choosing resolution and quality options, understanding how to use the in-camera light meter for good exposure, what is white balance, tips on good composition and use of camera accessories and flash.
Ori will walk you through demonstrations and hands-on sessions with a goal of better understanding of how the camera works and thinks. It is designed to take beginners into creative possibilities as well as demystify the language of the technical features. Learning how to understand and use your camera instruction manual more effectively along with a great handout that is yours to keep, will help you to navigate and simplify your shooting adventures after the workshop.
Most importantly, Nancy will get you into a comfort zone of clicking through the menu with confidence, so you understand what you are doing instead of being afraid of it.
Bring your favorite camera, fresh batteries, the camera instruction manual, any additional accessories that you have, and a notebook. You are welcome to bring a tablet or laptop to take notes and show samples of your photography.
Demonstrations will be on all the important camera controls and why you need to know them.
